Nervous about your first spa visit? Don’t worry — we’ve got your back (and your shoulders, too).
Why We Wrote This
Everyone remembers their first spa day — the uncertainty, the excitement, and the million questions.
This guide is for you, the first-time guest. We’re walking you through everything — from how to prepare to what actually happens — so your visit is calm, enjoyable, and exactly what you need.
Let’s make your first spa experience smooth, relaxing, and stress-free.
1. What to Bring (And What You Don’t Need To)
Good news: most spas (including Serenity Spa) provide almost everything.
What to bring:
A hair tie (for facials or massages)
Any personal skincare products (if preferred)
A water bottle (hydration is key post-treatment)
What we provide:
Welcome Drink, Towels, Disposable Undergarments, and all spa essentials.
You don’t need to pack a whole bag — just come as you are.

2. What to Wear Before & After Your Treatment
Wear comfortable clothing that’s easy to change in and out of. Avoid tight jeans, makeup, or heavy perfume.
You’ll typically change into a robe at the spa and undress to your comfort level. For most massages or body treatments, clients wear nothing underneath — but you’ll always be draped appropriately.
You’re in a judgment-free, respectful space — always.

3. When to Arrive (and Why It Matters)
Arrive at least 15 minutes early. This gives you time to:
Fill out a short wellness form
Use the restroom
Enjoy some tea
Mentally shift into “relax” mode
Rushing into a spa treatment defeats the purpose. That calm you’re looking for? It starts before the massage.

4. What Happens During Your Treatment
Here’s what a typical session includes:
A quick chat with your therapist about your goals or concerns
Time to undress in private and get comfortable
Gentle knock to begin your session
Quiet, respectful environment with draping for privacy
Post-treatment water or tea
You’re always encouraged to speak up if you want more or less pressure, temperature changes, or even silence.
Remember — this time is all about you.

5. Aftercare: What to Do Post-Spa
Your body’s been nurtured — now help it heal:
DO:
Drink lots of water
Rest or take it easy
Gently stretch if needed
DON’T:
Rush into work or workouts
Drink alcohol or caffeine immediately after
Take a hot bath (if you’ve had body treatments)
Let the benefits of your treatment settle in. You’ve earned it.

Final Thought: Don’t Worry, You’re in Good Hands
If you’ve never been to a spa, you might feel nervous — that’s totally normal. But here’s the truth: once you experience it, you’ll wonder why you waited so long.
At Serenity Spa, your comfort, privacy, and relaxation come first. Always.
